A Comment Worthy Of A Post 1-10-15

To all the people pontificating on the fact that Culver may have the right to terminate department heads, but doing so showed bad judgment (Mike Dunn are you reading this?), please consider this. Just because you are personal friends with someone or have a public perception of how they are doing their job, it does not mean that perception is reality. Culver is privy to information those posting and opining are not privy to especially the media. He also has a very accomplished transition team that are capable of separating facts from fiction. I am willing to give them all the benefit of the doubt, why can't you? You are doing a terrible disservice to Wicomico County by saying his decisions are politically based. None of us know the information Culver may have. To assume his decisions are politically motivated only makes the proverbial @ss out of you and me. The fact that Culver supported the hiring of Beauchamp and now has terminated him indicates to a normal person (one who isn't working an agenda) that something happened that caused Culver to change his opinion. Are you so blinded by your own politics that you can't even consider that there may be something you don't know? Dunn says he wants Culver to succeed. If true, he should have considered the fact that he may not know all there is to know instead of saying "we don't do that here". I get it. You are friends with these people. That fact doesn't mean Culver's decisions weren't in the best interest of the county.

I just hope culver is getting information from only a few employees in the county that have their own personal agenda. I love for culver to meet with a group of his choice quarterly to gain insight to their view of the change (most are good so far), but more importantly they see where money can be saved on a day to day basis.it could be a valuable tool to support culver cost saving efforts. Obviously he'd have to keep in mind some will complain about anything, but there are some employees who support him and want to see him succeed.

Great idea.

There seems to be a lot of pontificating in this post too.

Mike Dunn. What a joke. He is the most mean spirited person I know, especially when he thinks no one is looking. A snake in the grass who makes a laughing stock of the Jefferson Awards to anyone who has encountered his wrong side.
I suspect that the award was to bolster his political aspirations. He and Jake Day are disaster opus for Salisbury, along with Barrie Tilghman and her cronies.

You can bet when Mike is on his knees it's not to pray.

You probably can't even define pontificating 11:54.

Completely agree. Give the man a chance. The voters spoke. Dunn is too impressed with himself to give his opinions any validity.

mike looks worn and ragged these days

Yes, the voters have spoke and we hope that Mr. Culver was listening. It's high time that many of these department heads move on so the County can get a fresh look thru a new pair of eyes in order to see things in a fresh light and to make improvements. Although many may think they are indispensable, they are the very people who need to go because they run their departments in an arrogant, over bearing manner and with a rudeness that should never be part of any department head's demeanor as it has a real negative effect on both the public and their employees. MR. CULVER, PLEASE CLEAN HOUSE NOW!!

6:35 clean house, who should go next. Sound like no one's worthy to stay in your eyes.

Culver needs to come by detention center and see how often kalorumakis, Tyler and Kimble are working. To top heavy, not enough line staff.

Bob keep up the good work. One has to have thick skin to be a County Exec or any elected official these days. Stay true to your cause at the end of the day all we really have are our beliefs and integrity.

"We don't do that here."

What is "that," Mike? Firing people? So, nobody ever deserves to be fired?

Comment one that proves you are an idiot not competent to lead.

Oh, yes, Mike, many know about your plans to make a comeback to the political arena.

Do everyone a favor and don't. You had your chance and couldn't take the heat, so you got out of the kitchen. Stay out of it for the good of the community.

The comment about Mike Dunn's mean spirit was spot on, if a bit understated.

It's time to close that good 'ole boy system for good.
9:02 PM, If you're recommending those top three, you might as well include all sgt's, lt's, captains and majors. They all were trained by the top three. And, you need to get rid of those azz kissing correctional officers while you're at it like little Arms.
