No! Property values and prices are going down, yet my taxes are still going up!!!! Are there any checks and balances in the system at all?

About a year ago I was paying $1.64 for a quart of half and half it then went to $1.74 then $1.98 and now $2.24. Sure as hell about a 37% increase. You can get it cheaper at Food Lion and I don't have to pay to shop there. So much for low cost.

Common Sense folks. It does take a while to filter through the system. Don't hold you breath on the low gas prices; they will go back up, probably sooner than you think.

Prices, on most items, weren't raised "immediately" when gas prices started going up. hmmmmmm.

Absolutely.Fuel oil has also come down in price.

IF they go down it will probably take time. Most shipping companies have contracts and use fleet cards at places like pacific pride and get a set price per gallon for a set period of time. Prices will not go down until those contracts expire and can be renegotiated at a lower cost, assuming gas prices are lower at the time.

Since the minimum wage increase the cost to eat out has gone up.

Also have not seen a removal of Fuel Surcharges that were added over the years by many delivery and service companies.

In 1972, Milk, bread, and a gallon of gas were all about the same price.

Do the math from there.
