Army Proves You Don't Have To Earn It, You Just Have To Be A Minority

Army officials say they want more minority officers in the service. Among 26 brigades, only one colonel is African American, and the Army has only three African American generals with a four-star rank. USA Today reports the Army plans to recruit officers from major metropolitan areas. Brigadier General Peggy Combs, who leads the Army Cadet Command, said the Army will expand recruiting efforts in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Dallas and Phoenix. The service is also mentoring youth minority officers to put them on the path toward higher ranks in the Army.

And just like before - after getting in, their best performance may not live up to standards and they'll be the first ones to be let go in a force reduction scheme.

Just recently happened to the last batch of affirmative action Captains and Majors.....maybe they need another batch to be ready to ditch in eight to ten years.....

This all a started when they let servicemen marry- you used to have have attained a certain rank to get hitched. Now, the military is jut another vast social services provider.
1. kick out ALL the women
2. Only unmarried men
3. strict performance standards- IF you can pass muster, you rise, no matter what color you ar
4. none of thee above will ever happen. EVER.

You forget, 10:11, we used to have a draft. Big difference when the whole service is made up of people who couldn't get jobs anywhere else.

Sounds like post Nam again with Racial Harmony.

Dumb down the requirements for officers, real smart. Obama's buddies can then just march right in.

You have to dumb everything down so they can compete.

Sooo, judging a person by their skin color is wrong, but giving them higher rank based on skin color is OK??! What's wrong with this is GIVING anyone anything based on race, not ability. Unless it can be proven that they were kept from rising in ranks due to their skin, maybe they don't have the proper drive or skills needed to lead. Good Lord, people are stupid! We all bleed the same color, but not all people are of equal skills, etc.

245 - that's the way we do it in the schools. Lower expectations, better results.
