UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - A District Heights police officer has been indicted on an attempted murder charge after authorities say he shot a handcuffed suspect in the back.
Prince George's County prosecutors say Sgt. Johnnie Riley turned himself in Thursday afternoon to face charges including attempted murder and assault.
He faces a bond review hearing Friday morning.
