The end is very near.

They aren't going to carry it because very few people were buying it. They don't want to eat all those papers left behind. Smart move.

Their world is crumbling even after they brought in that big shot from New York.

Are you really surprised? I didn't think so.

The writing's better with the new kid, but he always seems to take a dump in his last paragraph. What's with that?

I am not the least bit surprised. Just as I have been predicting all along.

I have watched their stock price plummet from $90.42/Share all the way down to its current trading price of 17.00/Share.

I agree - they are going down - no doubt about it. A few months ago Superfresh stopped, then a few weeks ago Johnny's Sub quite selling them. Now Wal-Mart announces they are discontinuing sale.

I saw the same sign at the Dollar Store near Hobby Lobby.

Sorry to see people lose their jobs, but that paper and its bias top to bottom is terrible.

Yep no one's buying it is the reason. I think people want to read news and not staff's take and spin on things. Plus Bassett is too condesending and pompous like the DT's is the Wall Street Journal he works for instead of a small town newspaper. His "attitude" has a way of making it's rounds in these parts and people hear and see it and the paper suffers.

3:23 _ Yup. Dollar Tree of South End Walmart SHopping had the same sign too.

Joe soon you will control the local media AND the local government. You will be so powerful. I can't wait!!! You will be able to do whatever you wish! What a great era it will be for Salisbury. I, for one, am very excited.

People sense and know bias when they see it in what is supposed to be a NEWSpaper. I was getting my hair done today and a certain Ocean City newspaper was the topic of this subject. Someone even mentioned that maybe the paper staff should be out checking dumpsters tonight.

They voted for Obama and get what is coming to them.

They'll be looking to sell that paper off soon.

The Daily Times has been a very large supporter of Democratic party. The paper is pro-Obama, so now they get what they deserve. Support a liar means you are a liar. I think they may be paying the Smoots in Hebron for their writings. Thank you Smoots. Its time to get a fire going in the fireplace.

You are right 6:21 and it says alot about the lack of character on the part of those at the DT's. It's the Birds of a Feather thing.
Obama blatantly lies about Planned Parenthood doing mammograms (just to give an example) so as not to offend anyone on the abortion issue. This is out and out dishonesty. The DT's has to know this and if they still support such dishonesty than that means they themselves have some very severe character flaws and are not to be trusted professionally or personally.
It's also gotten to the point where the Obama supporters are frightening. How can anyone support someone who had such total disregard for those in Benghazi when they were begging for help! That is pure evil on Obama's part and anyone who would still support him is just as evil.

Greg Bassett will never leave his gravy train job there, they'll have to force him out.

Which Walmart? Looks like the sign I saw at Dollar store where Atlantic Book store use to be.

Over a week ago, I wrote a letter to the Times in which I didn’t use anyone’s name, but I did criticize several frequent Daily Times letter writers for their leftist views. Since then, the Times has published a letter mentioning my name twice and several insulting, un-signed comments, one of which gives my name and address. All stated that I was anti-science, when I was writing for truth in science, not bias.
This shows not only the Times’ leftist bias that I was complaining about, but that the left goes after anyone who doesn’t agree with them. They hope my “daughters and grand-daughters benefit from the anti-woman platform of the right.” I never mentioned abortion or any women’s issue, but the Times’ irresponsible editors printed this.
