Elderly Woman Faces Eviction From Apartment For American Flags On Balcony

Letting your patriotic side fly with three American flags might sound like a harmless act, but one elderly woman is facing eviction from her apartment for violating the rules of the New Jersey housing project she lives in for just such a display. Those rules say nothing can be on the balconies of the apartments.

So I can break the rules and no one will say anything because it is the American flag and I can make big deal of it if they give me a hard time. Plus I am old and I can ply that hand too. Throw her out.

Why doesn't she hang the flags in her windows, inside her apartment? Unless other tenants have been permitted to hang items other than flags from their balconies, this lady doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Unamerican..Fly the flag of the greatest nation on earth. Fly it on the balcony, in the window on the fence on your car. Be a proud American and fly that flag!!!!!!!!

She must have a rent-controlled apartment they want to put back at market rate.

Otherwise, they would have just told her, Lady, don't do this is again. It creates liability for us.
