Towson Hotel Hosts Maryland's First LGBT Wedding Show

NAACP announces support for same-sex marriage

TOWSON, Md. -
Same-sex couples in Maryland may not be able to marry, but they can certainly plan their celebrations for when a state law might take effect allowing the unions.

The first-ever wedding show in Maryland catering to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people attracted couples from throughout the region to Towson on Sunday. The event comes three months after Gov. Martin O'Malley signed into law the Civil Marriage Protection Act that would allow same-sex marriages in Maryland. That law is delayed from taking effect to allow for a potential referendum question.
