Supporting Business Growth In Delaware

DOVER – In his weekly message, Governor Markell focuses on promoting business growth in Delaware and supporting entrepreneurs. This week, the Governor helped celebrate the success of a small businessperson who cut the ribbon on his eighth location, after starting his business twenty years ago as a way to pay the rent.

“He liked it so much, he’s built a thriving business through talent, training and an entrepreneurial spirit, “ said Governor Markell. “Chris Arnold illustrates the kind of small businessperson that makes Delaware a great place to work, live, raise a family and build a business. Whether budding entrepreneurs want to find their future in science or technology, in manufacturing or retail, in service, or in trades, we want Delaware on their location list. Wherever I go, I say small, medium and large businesses will find in Delaware a talented workforce, strong institutions of higher learning, a great quality of life and a culture where government leaders and government agencies work together to create an environment for business success.”

At noon every Friday, the Governor’s office releases a new Weekly Message in video, audio, and transcript form. The message is available on:
