Up to 1,000 protesters flooded the streets of Chicago Saturday night,
protesting NATO and spreading an Occupy Wall Street message.
The Chicago Tribune reported
protesters and police clashed repeatedly, resulting in 18 arrests,
according to the Associated Press. Still, the night was relatively
peaceful and without reports of major damage as demonstrators marched
and chanted for hours.
Large contingents of police officers were on hand, some in riot gear
and others on bikes, but they generally let protesters remain in the
streets, according to the Chicago Sun-Times:
At one point, a police van with sirens flashing drove
down the middle of Jackson, forcing the marchers to disperse. A
protester jumped on the front fender of the van, then got off, and
someone screamed, “They hit him! They hit him!”

Whiny babies. They need to occupy a JOB and stop crying because some people have worked hard and actually made something of themselves.

This is not about wanting handouts, free money, etc. THEY WANT EQUALITY. THERE IS NONE IN THIS COUNTRY.
You have the rich hording and hording more cash, while not creating any jobs. All of these companies were slashing jobs a few years ago because of the "economy." Yet, we come to find out they are making record profits every quarter, but not bringing back any of those jobs.
How do you justify cutting jobs, when youre making record profits?
They dont want freaking handouts, they want to find work. There are no middle class, high quality jobs anymore.
How hard is this to grasp? Conservatives seriously have to be the most uneducated group of people in the world(at least the ones I see on this website).
11:11 - your all BS. Why should these business owners not be rich? They are the one sticking their neck out to give others a jobs. Yeah, they have to protect themselves too, the government surely isn't looking out for business owners. If their business tanks, it's their neck, not the employees'. They have to pay the taxes, unemployment benefits, and now healthcare in one way or another. We could take all the money from the rich and it still wouldnt make a difference with barack in charge. Starting a SUCCESSFULL or NOT SUCCESSFULL business isn't an easy process, hiring employees just makes this more difficult.

Let me put this in elementary terms for you.
business cuts jobs because they are losing money. when profits are released, it shows they are in fact making a LOT of money. They still cut more jobs, cut services to their customers. They are not creating jobs. Thats my issue
I DONT CARE IF THEY ARE RICH! Good for them! But they are unjustly slashing jobs, putting the middle class out of work so that they can make even MORE money. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I dont know if you realize this, but the poor/middle class rely off of the rich to make jobs. It takes money to make money.
How can you not see the moral issue with this?
It is really funny to me that you dont understand basic economics.
When a company releases quarterly profits of say... $500,000,000... that is after they pay their taxes. After they pay towards unemployment. After health care. That is PROFIT.
