I have been fortunate enough to get to know many of the Fire Fighters within the Salisbury Fire Department.
Honestly, there hasn't been one of them I didn't like, with exception to Gordy. I have felt the guy was a snake from day one. I think See is a nice guy but a brown nosing ass kisser to the Mayor.
That being said, I stood up for them and supported "every single one of them" when it came to their raises. These are very hard working individuals/heros and I have the utmost respect for them, believe it or not.
However, when it comes to meeting people and then getting to know them more and more, I was VERY hurt when I learned what many of them were doing to Lorenzo. I'll be honest with you. I'm also pissed what they have been doing to Larry Dodd as well. I would stand up for many others if they were chosen and picked out from the Mayor on down. So don't go pointing fingers at these two names because that is NOT what this has all been about.
I will NOT stand for that kind of racism. I will not stand for irresponsible people racing vehicles down the road unnecessarily and ultimately killing someone because of such unprofessionalism.
Each and every one of you know I would stand behind you at any time, any place. However, IF you are one of the people disrespecting who you call your BROTHER by using the "N" Word towards him and or around him, screw you! You too have to earn MY respect, just as I have had to earn yours. You don't like that, screw off, I don't care.

Question. Not being a part of the firefighting clan, how do you know for certain that the dreaded N word was used to desribe the individual in question. Joe, it's unfortunate, and this is in no way defending that culture in the Fire Department, but the use of that word is commonplace in all facets of society. The way I see it, unless a policy is instituted from within the FD that the use of that word is strictly forbidden and punishable if caught will it ever stop. It's obvious that indidviduals are not going to police themselves.
Why don't you press the City to put something like this into place? Don't just talk the talk, walk it as well.

Chief See and Deputy Chief Gordy have been holding all kinds of internal investigations towards just who might be speaking to me.
