If CVS Sells You Something Expired, It's Your Own Damn Fault

Reader Andy noticed this sign in near the breakfast foods in a local CVS. It instructs customers to check the expiration dates of the items they choose before taking them up to the cash register. It's an innovative idea: maybe they're aiming to crowdsource stock rotation.

Had too many returns of out of date stuff? Now they can say The sign is clearly posted.

That is just down right lazy on the staff's part. They get a job and think they don't have to do anything to get the check - typical nowdays.

No, they are required to "clean" their stock on a regular basis.

If you don't look at the date anyway, it's on you regardless if they have a sign telling you to.
