Homeland Security Worries About New "Zeus" Virus
Homeland Security's Computer Emergency Response Team is warning government agencies about a new variant of the keystroke-logging "Zeus" virus. This one comes in emails that target accounts belonging to federal, state and local government employees. But there's an added wrinkle: The emails are disguised to make them look like they come from U.S. CERT itself. The real U.S. CERT says the emails are coming from a botnet that's controlled by computers in Russia.

While this may work on lower level public employees, I doubt it'll effect anyone with a high clearance. My roommate is a Naval officer, with 20+ years since he graduated Annapolis. His Admiral only emails him encrypted messages; requiring a code into his blackberry that'll "open" the message and allow him to read it. This'll work with county council members, and moronic legislators, but no one that's important.
