Cover your kids' eyes and ears! One of the most popular shows on TV is preparing to an air an episode in which a two-and-a-half year old toddler drops the F-bomb.
Steve Levitan, the executive producer of the ABC hit "Modern Family," revealed during a Television Critics Association winter press tour panel on Tuesday that the show's 2 1/2 year old character, Lily, uses the profanity, much to the horror of her parents, Cam and Mitchell, who are concerned that she might let it out again during a forthcoming wedding.

10:01...at least they don't portray their kids or lives as being perfect.
Whatever happened to family tv, values and respect for people that do not appreciate inappropriate language. I personally do not find it necessary to use profanity to get my point across as the english language has a lot of adjectives you can use that are not offensive. I understand freedom of speech but don't I have any rights to not haveto listen to profanity. I will choose not to watch this show but what about when I am in a public place?
No one has, "Virgin Ears", we have all heard the F word, I hear it everyday on the school bus I drive, and I drive kids of all ages. They all say it, from 5 to 18 years old, it is nothing new to me, so if Modern family is potraying a modern family, then yes, it needs to be said. If you don't like it, turn the channel.
while it IS a reality that kids "say the darndest things" - the bigger problem that i have with this is that the parents of the child actor who portrays Lily is ok with her being taught this word, even if it is for "work". its totally different when a kid slips up and says a bad word, but they are TEACHING her this word.
Does tv really need to go there? I'm thinking not.
I hope they don't go there.
12:49 has it right I nor any of my family will ever tune into any such program
Why doesn't the bus driver tell them not to do it on his bus?
