State Sen. Robert Marshall of Wilmington will introduce a bill next week that will increase Delaware’s minimum wage by 50 cents each of the next two years, from $7.25 an hour (the current federal minimum wage, which Delaware has followed since 2009) up to $8.25 an hour by 2014. Marshall and fellow Democrat Rep. Michael Mulrooney of Penwood say that increasing the minimum wage will benefit low-income workers, who need it the most.

who can live on that salary?
Yeah, that's about what a Social Security recipient gets paid (2040 * $7.25).
On the back of this is Coons asking small business owners what can be done to help them. Mandating higher labor costs isn't the answer.
