Reminds me of the agony of defeat on The Wide World of Sports.
Back in the early 70's when I lived in Montana, I bought a new John Deere JDX-8 snowmobile. It was about 600-650 cc I think. I brought it with me when I moved back to Delaware, and on a snow covered road she'd do about 80-90 mph. But on an icy road 100+. I had the only one around here, and passed many cops on the main roads at high speed. They could do nothing about it. Today my ass would be grass, I'm afraid. It's a great toy for kids, but old guys that mistakenly think they're still young, can get hurt.
