I do like the idea of a gas tax increase simply because everyone and anyone buying gas in MD pays. (The tax would not be borne only by MDers.) Annapolis needs to put their big boy and big girl pants on to properly manage where the additional revenue goes rather than pet projects. Soooo eliminating those projects and decreasing stupid spending is a must. No comment on flush taxes because of the continued STUPIDITY known as DEMO Flushes in OC. I mean come on - still using 20th Century engineering guessing mentality to how many folks visit during the summer. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum for 25 years - where as by now, "city hall" and the hotel/motel/restaurant "council" could have come up with some type of automated way of calculating folks who stay in town. On the other hand, if "city hall" knows how many visitors are staying/visiting the hotels/restaurants then the books couldn't be "cooked". Again - no comment on taxing my toilet habits! Bushman!

Would someone ask this idiot O'Malley how much revenue was lost when he put a dollar a pack tax on smokes. The state has lost it's ass on that tax money, because, tobacco smokers will buy elsewhere. How stupid can you get when Maryland is bordered by 4 states.
