MD Fourth-Grader Writes Up 'Kill List'

A “kill list” compiled by a student was discovered by administrators at Deale Elementary School in Anne Arundel County.

Hometown Annapolis first reported that administrators found a handwritten list of 35 people under the heading “kill list.” That heading was erased, and replaced with the words “people mean to me.”

I have a thought on this. I would be more concerned with the people who are mean to this child, then the child erasing a title.
We have created this "bully free" society in schools, but time and time again, the "bullies" get away with it. This child obviously is being picked on to the point, he/she wrote this list.
We are going to once again overlook the real reason why this was created and concentrate only on "trying to help the creator of the list".
Headlines like these burn me up to no end.

Better keep an eye on that kid.

If people followed the golden rule, they would have less chance to end up on a list such as this.

For every action there is an equal and opposite re-action.

You have to know all the facts to really know what is going on. Maybe those kids are mean and need to be dealt with. Or maybe this child seeks attention and can get it by saying others are being mean to him. I know kids who think someone is mean because they aren't friends with them. Not everyone is going to be your friend and they aren't mean just because they're friends with someone else. Nobody can force them to be your friend, but they still should treat you respectfully. So, you just can't say this kid is wacko or that he is being bullied from this information.
