Politicians Get Wealthier As Those They Represent Get Poorer

In the past quarter-century, Congressmen have gone from super rich to super-duper rich, while their constituents have remained relatively poor. Members of the U.S. House of Representatives are doing quite well for themselves, raising their median net worth from $280,000 to $725,000 from 1984 to 2009. In the same span, the average net worth of American families has dropped from $20,600 to $20,500. The inflation-adjusted figures come from Panel Study of Income Dynamics from the University of Michigan.

This is why 2012 voting is so important; even if you do not like who the Republicans put in the race.

There are four Senate Seats up for grab, and if we can get the Senate Control it does not matter who they put in the White House; we wil have the House and Senate.

Again, I call upon the IRS to find out HOW someone making their salary can increase their wealth almost $450,00 (as a group), while the average working American has LOST income and wealth. What is the average American NOT doing right? Taking bribes? Using inside info? steering contracts to their friends and relatives? Sending THEIR sons to Yale and sending OUR sons to Afghanistan? Sounds to me like they are representing THEMSELVES and it sould be painfully obvious why they spend MILLIONS of dollars just to get into that self admitted "most exclusive club in the world". It also appears that the IRS only harrasses and pursues the middle class. With intensity. WHERE is that group of totally naive and brainwashed idiots who say "the system is working"? Are they typing their message from a Congressional office? The best I can tell themn is "enjoy it while you can". Change is surely coming.
