Home Values Fell 17% In Three Years, State Assessors Say

Notices mailed to owners Tuesday
Home values in Maryland communities reassessed by the state this year have fallen an average of 17 percent since 2008, a sizable drop but smaller than in the last two rounds of property evaluations.

Nine out of 10 residential properties that were reassessed lost value, the state Department of Assessments and Taxation said Tuesday. Some homes were more valuable because their owners renovated.

They are lying. More like 20-35%. Quit telling us that things are "turning around", or any of the other crap "lines" being spread to convince us that our economy hasn't been robbed blind, manipulated for the benefit of a few hundred wealthy individuals, or that our money is almost worthless. Homeowners and working people know better. Ask the Sears workers. 3 years into obamas presidency and THIS is where we are at?
