TRAFFIC ALERT - Bridge Repair Will Require The Closure Of Route 9

Harbeson -- WHEN: 7 a.m. on Friday, December 2 and ending at 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, pending weather - Complete Road Closure

WHERE: Bridge over Beaverdam Creek on Route 9 between Route 30/Gravel Hill Road and Route 5/Harbeson Road, northeast of Georgetown

WHAT: DelDOT crews will be removing the existing hot mix and concrete pavement which is above the box culvert. Once removed, a steel reinforced concrete slab will be poured to increase the strength and load capacity that the bridge can safely carry.

DETOUR EASTBOUND: Route 9 to Route 30/Gravel Hill Road onto Sand Hill Road to Route 5/Harbeson Road and return to Route 9

DETOUR WESTBOUND: Route 9 to Route 5/Harbeson Road onto Sand Hill Road to Route 30/Gravel Hill Road and back to Route 9
