Patrick Sullivan, 68, who was the National Sheriff's Association's "Sheriff of the Year" in 2001, was being held on $250,000 bail in the Arapahoe County jail that bears his name, the Patrick J. Sullivan Jr. Detention Facility. KUSA says he is being kept in a jail cell away from other inmates.

Using his power, ya GOTTA wonder how many people were beat up, imprisoned, or murdered for either finding out about this brilliant scheme, or threatening to reveal it. Sheriff of the YEAR! With the legal right to kill the rest of us and walk away whistling....And their isn't even a cop above him to tell us he was "just a bad apple" (another one? How many bad apples ARE there?) and not indicative of the "we can do anything we want" mentality of members of the most violent gang in the USA.
