Lower Earnings, Higher Costs For Meat Companies Could Mean Price Hikes

As Americans get ready to gorge on Thanksgiving turkey, some bad news for the makers of meat in this country — earnings at the biggest companies are down, which could mean higher prices for consumers.

Well no wonder their earnings are down-their products aren't fit to eat! Between the hormones, antibiotics, injected solutions to add weight the meat we are getting is just gross.
Anymore when you cook meat it is swimming in some kind of liquid, whereas years ago, you just got a little bit of grease in the bottom of the pan.
I just saw on the news, that sales are up at a local free range, natural turkey farm.

The earnings may be down but they are still making a hugh profit all off the backs of consumers and low level employees. Why is it that these low level employees barely get by and qualify for food stamps and other gov't assistance while the companies are making millions?
This gov't assistance is coming out of our pockets-the taxpayers! I'm a staunch conservative but I'm seeing eye to eye on alot of the "Occupiers" points.
