New Castle -- Deck Resurfacing Work Scheduled for Delaware Memorial Bridge
Lane Closures Expected on Delaware-bound Span

Today, Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) officials announced that deck resurfacing maintenance work and miscellaneous steelwork, which are scheduled for southbound span of the Delaware Memorial Bridge (DMB), will involve weekly lane closures through December 2011. DRBA officials intend to have all Bridge lanes open for weekend and holiday traffic.

During the time periods, two of four Delaware Memorial Bridge lanes on the Delaware-bound span will be closed beginning 9:00 p.m. on Sunday evening and will include a limited third lane closure between 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. All lanes will re-open by 3 p.m. on Friday and will remain open for weekend traffic.
