Rehoboth Man Critically Injured After Crash

Rehoboth, DE- The Delaware State Police are investigating a two vehicle crash in which a Rehoboth Beach, DE man was critically injured last night.
 
The incident occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, as Linda Reese was operating a 2010 Hyundai Elantra and was attempting to make a left hand turn from westbound Rt. 24 onto southbound Angola Road. The front of Reese’s vehicle then struck the front of a 2010 Buell Scooter that was being operated by Timothy Darlin, and which was traveling on eastbound Rt. 24 approaching Angola Road. The force of the collision caused Darlin, who was not wearing a helmet, to be ejected from the scooter.
 
Darlin was removed from the scene by EMS and transported to the Beebe Memorial Hospital and then to the Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE, where he was admitted in critical condition with multiple injuries. Linda Reese, who was not injured, was cited by troopers with failing to yield the right of way.
 
This crash remains under investigation at this time.
