Georgetown, DE- Delaware State Police Youth Aid detectives have arrested a 22 year old Bridgeville, DE woman following a fourth month obscenity investigation.
The investigation began in May of this year after the principal of the Sussex Technical High School located in Georgetown, DE, received a complaint from the mother of a fifteen year old student of the school. The mother advised that her son had been communicating through text messages to a person she believed to be a teacher at the high school. The mother further advised that from the contents of the text messages, she believed that her son had viewed several inappropriate pictures of the teacher.
Detectives learned that the 15 year old student had obtained the cellular phone of Meagan R. Gordon while at lunch at the school on Friday, May 13, and had responded to a bathroom with the phone. Gordon was a substitute teacher at the school at the time. The student, while in the bathroom, went through Gordon’s photographs that were on the phone and had observed several pictures showing her undressed. The student then returned the phone to Gordon. It was also learned that after the 15 year old returned to his class in which Gordon was teaching after lunch, she again allowed him to view the photographs. Gordon also exchanged phone numbers with the student.
Detectives made contact with Gordon and obtained her cellular phone which was then turned over to detectives in the Delaware State Police High Tech Crimes Unit for examination.
On Wednesday, September 21, 2011 detectives arrested Meagan Gordon and charged her with one count of providing obscene material to a person under the age of eighteen. She was arraigned at the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas and released on $1,500.00 unsecured bail.

7 years age differnce isn't too bad. Oh wait he is 15 and she is a teacher. Give it a few years Meagan then you can show the boy whatever you want.
I'm willing to bet that the 15yo. has the internet, cable or satellite TV and has seen a naked woman before. He will need years of counseling for certain!
I wish we had cell phones when we were in school! I do not agree with the 15 year old being allowed access so easily but truth be told what he saw was most likely was not anything new to him. What is dumb is the teacher not having enough where with all to keep the phone away from him. Substitute or not she should have known better, it is unfortunate she has ruined what ever career she may of had.
That is disgusting! Why couldn't I have any teachers like that in 1968?
O.M.G. Major Sex Criminal put her on the sex offenders list so we know wherre she sleeps at night, might not know where she is at all day or half the night or when not home, but at least we will know where she sleeps "SOMETIMES" lol...

If this were a 22 year old man and a 15 year old girl, I imagine the comments would be quite different. Why the double standard?

The internet, and text cell phones!! That is what has happened. The laws are out of whack and are not up to date with fast pace of the tech world. This is nothing more than a salem witch hunt for so many. Yes, he LOOKED at a photo. He probably sees more of that in his fathers bathroom magazines. Yes, she should lose her job, pay a fine. But be labeled for life, that is where the laws have gotten out of whack.
Stop this insanity. Soon 75% of this nation will be labeled for one thing of another. Hell-o America, you need to hear this.

I do not want my 15 year old son having sex.
People can yuk it up all they want, but he is not an adult and this is not an appropriate "rite of passage."
I don't pay taxes so he can go to school to get that kind of education!
I also don't appreciate this teacher encouraging a 15 year old boy like this because if he comes after my 14 year old daughter when he's 16, look out!
