'The Playboy Club' Loses Advertisers, PTC Calls for Immediate Cancellation

Will it soon be time to bid farewell to 'The Playboy Club?' Yes, if the members of The Parents Television Council (PTC) have their way. The PTC has been campaigning against NBC's new drama series for months, urging advertisers and NBC affiliates to drop it. Now the PTC claims that seven advertisers have already withdrawn from 'The Playboy Club' and is calling for the series -- which the pressure group says "objectifies and degrades women" -- to be cancelled immediately.

What in the hell do the Parents club have to do with a program that is made for adults and broadcast at the appreciate time for adults to be watching and children to be in bed for school the next day.
We don’t need any more intrusions in our lives, there is this neat invention already on our TV sets to allow parents to make choices in what they want to view and what they want their children to view, this invention is called a channel tuner. If you don’t want to watch a program, you can turn to another.

9:46 - PTC is not a group of whacked out libs. It's a group of whacked out conservatives. It was founded by Brent Bozell.

Neither side of the aisle has a monopoly on meddling in our lives and telling us what we should or should not do.
