More People Spending More Of Their Income On Rent

New data on U.S. housing costs shows that more than half of the nation's renters are writing rent checks that are at least 30% of their household income, and one in four renters are paying out half their income for shelter.

OK,now at the risk of sounding naive,I'll ask the following question:What about all of the loan company ads,like Quicken loans and Countrywide?They continue to advertise on the radio and TV,claiming rates of 4% or less.Are they not for real?

4:42 pm - I believe they are real however, credit score is everything, and people don't take care of their credit therefore cannot get a loan.

No you can get the loan just can't pay it and then your house gets foreclosed on because you either couldn't make the payment or pay your property taxes
