'Fracking' Protesters Say Drilling Jobs Not Worth Environmental Risks

Philadelphia (CNN) -- Charlotte Bevins' long blond hair blows in the wind as she stands amid protesters, her eyes red and puffy from crying.

Just four months ago, Bevins' brother, Charles, lost his life in a drilling accident in central New York. He was 23, a father of two small children.

Sorry for your loss Charlotte , but , life must go on. Many jobs have high risk , that doesn't mean we have to stop progress.
I hate to say it , but I will , these guys need to find a tree to hug.

It is not about hugging trees, it is about having drinking water that does not catch fire from the methane, like it is in many parts of the country. The technology is not in place to do this type of drilling safely.

These men with these brilliant ideas cannot see the forest for the trees. Greed.

They act like fracking is some new evil. I guess they never heard of Frackville Pa. We are talking about something that occurs several thousand feet under the ground, far below anyones groundwater. How pathetic, they must all be victims of the public school system.

9:11,
That is a fabrication. All the YouTube videos and MSM news footage of gas coming out of faucets have been proven to not be as the result of fracking, instead it is a natural occurrence of gas getting into wells.

Yet the tin-hatted conspiracy theory crowd continues to perpetuate a myth. And, like any urban myth, there will always be a certain percentage of the population who will believe any foolish thing they are fed.

I may be a product of the public school system (how may issues are you going to address in this thread, please stay on the subject), but I am not blind. When you see someone light the water running from the faucet, it is obvious the aquafier has been compromised.

I hope you can drink some that sand you have your head stuck in.

10:10am are you actually serious with your comment on Frackvile PA?? Go crawl back to whatever rock or tailer you came from because you are too stupid to comment.
