Guilt, I woke up and thought this was a joke of a storm. After the day went by and I realized what other states have went through and how many lost their lives I felt ashamed. Yes we were very lucky here but some were not lucky. So after all is done I felt guilty for how I felt.

Yes - Physical.........my nerves were shot. I am so sorry I kept watching WBOC local news all day long. They had me scared to death.
They kept saying the worst was yet to come.

strained back from carrying water i didn't need, and 7 stitches in my leg from packing my garage full! both injuries needless.

I spent money that was completely unnecessary. I'll never follow WBOC again.

No but. Months to come I'll be eating Veinna sausage and tuna fish which I normally wouldn't have bought. Thanks to the Weather Channel.

anonymous 11:04, THANK YOU for showing just how ignorant YOU are. ROTFLMAO

no. but i will ask this question. many are saying that "irene" was hyped. of course this is possible but for those who "believe" in prayer; have you considered that God answered our prayers? in my prayers and the prayers of our family and friends we asked God to calm or deminish the storm. we believe he hears the prayers of his people. we are just thanking God for doing what we asked.

i know there are "skeptics", naysayers and mockers on this blog, but i will continue to believe.

always plan for the worst and believe for the best......

I dont even see a post for 11:04 Joe...why'd you take it off?

Amen to 11:32 ; just be thankful it wasn't as bad as it could have been. The media has to prepare us for the worst, and they did keep saying to hope for the best. b

No property damage I am very thankful to say. Just nerves shot from not being able to watch T.V., mother couldn't watch the Orioles games straight through because the cable kept coming and going, mostly going, we didn't see any news, and I couldn't check Salisbury News Blog. :( I don't have a Smart Phone. I do need to invest in a portable radio and batteries (when they are restocked again). :)

Yes, physical pain from loading the
generator back up and returning to Home Depot. No gas was used and they took it back no questions asked.

Lots and Lots of water. We escaped another major storm , perhaps upplayed by the media. Most people were prepared and it just worked out in everyones favor. But ONE of these times, we are going to get a major a## whooping!!

Water damage through my roof into attic and 2nd floor as well as a downed tree. All in all better than expected

Lost power for the longest stretch in the over 20 years we've lived here. Just a few hours, overnight and into mid-morning. Pump lost prime, so we were without water for Sunday and part of Monday. No DAMAGE, though.

No damage; just 5 million pine cones and a few branches to clean up. God was watching out for me.

A guy was electrocuted on Smith Island. In a Washington DC hospital now. Hoping he will pull through everything OK.

Just a small apple tree uprooted that I can straighten with a tow rope and my truck. The basement was flooded but was pumped out in a day. Humidifier is pumping hard now. Considering all the huge oaks and pines I have, my prayers were answered. My home was unscathed. Even my outsunshades have not budged. Amen! My god is great.

I had three big limbs break and fall from big Maple trees. One fell on my 6ft.fence and damage a section of it. Another tree uprooted from my neighbors yard and partially fell into mine. Small brances, lots of pine cones.
Got to have at least one of the big Maples cut down.
