NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- Unemployment remains a huge concern, but the underemployment problem isn't as bad as it used to be. Fewer part-time workers are looking for full-time work -- because they don't mind working part-time after all.
Since hitting a peak of 9.5 million last September, the number of part-time workers who tell the Labor Department they are doing so for economic reasons rather than personal reasons has dropped to 8.4 million in July.

I call BS on this one. Most if not all would prefer a full-time job with benefits, if given the choice. Very misleading article designed to make us feel about better the state of the economy.
7:53....exactly. It's TOTAL BS. Unless someone else (taxpayers?) is helping with the rent, electric, food, MEDICAL BILLS, then they are lying. Yeah, we all would love to just put in 15-29 hrs a week. However, most of us like to look in the mirror in the morning with pride in our lives and what we've accomplished. Others like to look in the mailbox (or debit-card acct) to see what we've given them this month. What bozo/clown/idiot wrote THIS article? "Economic reasons"??? You mean "why should I work full time when I can work part time and collect unemployment, disability, welfare, and food stamps and do just as well" Is THAT the economic reason?
