The President’s No-Speech!

I just listened (with rapt attention) to the Obama speech on how the nation is now saved by the Senate passing the debt extension legislation.

Just to let you know that after studying his comments very carefully, I threw up in a waste basket next to my desk following the conclusion that the legislation gave Pres.Obama everything he wants and nothing that he needs.

It will lead to another $1.4 trillion in national debt, no meaningful reductions in spending of any kind and made absolutely not a single move to solve the United States’ biggest and most deadly problem; Government spending and excessive debt.

Now you may carry on with preparations for the end of it all because this fools’ play solved nothing, promises nothing and means nothing.

The markets voted on it within minutes and gave the whole mess a big thumbs down.
So should we all.

I spent some time this morning and Googled “balanced Budget Amendment of 1974”, and found that we already have one that limits spending to the intake of the IRS. It’s been amended several times over the years with enough gobbledegook to choke a horse, but we have one. Why would Congress offer to vote in a new one without addressing the one we already have? Further, it also contains “Pay As You Go” clauses. From reading this bill, Our Government has been breaking the law for the last 35 years, so why would we need another “BBA” passed this year? If our Government HAS been breaking the law for 35 years, is it not true that the funny money borrowed/ printed/ spent/due and payable an illegal act and not something the general public needs to be accountable for? We were certainly kept in the dark of all the amendments and adjustments made over the years, and certainly created the BBA on purpose to avoid the debt crisis we are undergoing today. I say the People are not responsible for this, but our Government is, and must be de- funded per tax code at that rate.
Oh, and why are NONE of the candidates for president using the 1974 BBA as a platform and using the failure of yesterday’s failed BBA as a platform? It just shows that they truly are ignorant of current law…
Read and understand the 1974 Balanced Budget Amendment, and stand for its immediate enforcement. It’s our only chance.

6:26 am Thanks for the info. You are so right about the citizens of this country being kept in the dark. But we all need to do what you are doing and investigate these matters on our own and dig up the facts.
