Delaware Celebrates 35 Years Of Open Government

DOVER — Delaware first adopted its Freedom of Information Act 35 years ago. But it was not until two years ago that the General Assembly came under the law.

Delaware League of Women Voters and Delaware Coalition for Open Government joined on July 25 at Legislative Hall in Dover to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the state’s passage of the Freedom of Information Act and to honor Sen. Karen Peterson, D-Stanton, for her commitment to open government in the General Assembly.
