Some of you may recall a recent article we did mentioning Code & Compliance writing my In Laws up because the work wasn't getting done fast enough. They were waiting for the PERMITS to come through and the City wrote them up, go figure.
Getting back to my point, clearly people are driving WAY TOO FAST and cannot control their vehicles. Fortunately they have a fantastic contractor who did the repair the last time and you'd never know anything ever happened. Unlike the new property owners two doors down!
Slow down people, especially in these residential areas. Just imagine an elderly person or a CHILD was standing on that corner at the time. WAKE UP!

I live two doors down from your inlaws. they need to remove those brick retaining walls, they are an eye sore and inhibit sight lines at the intersection.
Too bad you weren't standing there when it happened.
All the more reason for speed cameras everywhere.

WTF are you thinking 404, those retaining walls most certainly are NOT an eyesore, and do not obscure vision in any manner. What kind of blackened soul must a person like you have to badger bitch and complain about a decent family like this? No they do not inhibit sight lines. That is a no turn on red intersection. When the light is green, proceed while looking both ways! Geez, people run this light, turn right, left, without hardly slowing down. Very pretty and well kept up property. I'd tell you different, but it's the truth!!
Why did they have to fix the wall in the first place? If there was a car accident the person responsible for the accident should have to fix it or their ins. company at the least. So any fines for not being fixed in a timely manner should have went to the ins. company or person responsible.

That's quite an intersection. Someone ran over the curb and demolished the brick sign of Bethany Lutheran Church, right across the street from Joe's in-laws' house.

Not only do drivers speed thru this intersection, but right turn on red. There's a sign, no turn on red. This is one intersection that really needs a camera, imo.
Just down the street, a vehicle recently jumped & smashed the curb & traveled more than halfway down the block on the grass & hit a different retaining wall. Must have been at night since nothing was heard of it.
It's dangerous to walk on those couple of blocks.

Oh my. Heaven's to betsy. Not the right turn on red thing. Oh geesh. That's just terrible. Someone disobeyed a sign. Call out the militia. He is supposed to sit there and waste time and gas like everyone else.
Dang, what would become of this country if everyone thought for themselves like that guy did? Total chaos. Why, everyone would be doing it. We have to clamp down now. We cannot tolerate such things.
