Feds Crack Down On Police Brutality Nationwide

(CBS News)
PORTLAND, Ore. - "They treated him like he was a piece of dirt," Jim Chasse said. "Just absolute from the get go."
Chasse's 42-year-old son James was out for a walk in downtown Portland, Oregon, in September 2006 when three police officers spotted what they later described as a "peculiar...dirty" young man.
Eyewitnesses say Chasse, who suffered from schizophrenia, appeared "frightened." And when he ran, they say, he was chased, knocked down and beaten by police.
Chasse told CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian that his son wouldn't hurt anyone. "This is a guy who couldn't lift 35 pounds," Chasse said. "And they say he was struggling."

people will toss out police brutality to sue for money. These people will shoot an officer dead. Then the question will pop up, Why didnt the cop shoot? Citizens need to back off and let cops do their jobs. The economy is bad, lay offs are going on. The justice system lets criminals off (Casey Anthony, OJ). You have NAACP, civil rights groups and ACLU who push issues favoring the criminals. These groups are creating criminals and racial hatred. BAN these groups!

10:45 this kid was killed. Period. I think you can safely say that this isn't about the money. With ribs broken in 27 different places I think it's safe to say they used excessive force. I cannot stand cops like this. They should be fired.

Being "peculiar" is NO crime. Neither is being "dirty". ANOTHER innocent man (pay attention, 10:45 -- you power-tripping goose stepping Nazi -- INNOCENT of ANY crime. INNOCENT!! Say again slowly. BEAT TO DEATH by three cops who later lied about what a dangerous man they were contending with. "Let cops do their job?? Was THAT their job? When they learn who they work for, who their boss is (and it AIN'T the police chief or the mayor). You try to DEFEND the murder of an innocent man!?? By armed agents of the government?!! Who is safe in your hands? Let me remind you that the "justice system" you frown upon ALSO lets hundreds (documented fact) of cops a year get away with killing and maiming hundreds of citizens because all the cops have to say is "I thought he was reaching for a weapon, or he "resisted" us. Uh huh. WEhile the suspect was face down, in handcuffs, with an officers knee in his back and on his neck, he was "resisting". You sissies couldn't fight your way out of a wet paper bag unless you had 5 other cops in there with you. Quit beating and shooting innocent people. The day will come when we beat and shoot back. Soon. And, there are a LOT more of us than of YOU.
