anonymous 1040,you are correct. The bulding behin her is actually my builing in Pittsille where they shot the Movie.
It was an old feed mill back in the day.
Since that time they placed metal over the exterior. Once the real estate market comes back it is my intention to put Dryvitt over the entire exterior and I already have very large new windows inside the building to finish the commercial look to the current times.
So for those people who like to critisize the building the way it sits now, take a good look at what it used to be. As they say, it could be worse.
I have lived in Pittsville for 42 years and never knew a movie was made there. I rode my bike and skateboard all over the loading ramp. And cut the grass for Kauffmans electric in the summer.
Speaking of Pittsville. I wish the people at the water treatment plant knew wth they were doing. Im getting sick and tired of water that smells like bleech. You can't drink it and any you use you have to boil and then it has an oily residue on the top of it. This can't be healthy!
i was 14 that summer when they made the movie, even had a small part in it at the begining chasing a old man by the old train station. made 5 bucks and spent it on ice cold bottle dr peppers and chipped ham and colby cheese sandwiches from west's market.boy those were the dayz!!! thanks mr albero for the memory.
6:11 Do you know which restaurant they used in the movie? We couldn't figure it out by watching the movie. Most of the other things even though they have changed we figured out.

Joe, are you going to do that before or after you build the skateboard park?
I'll repeat, when the real estate market rebounds I will show Pittsville they can be proud of that location.
There is absolutely no reason to invest into property that will sit.
Pittsville is a wonderful Town with more potential than most know.
I believe it will be the next Bowie of the Eastern Shore, you mark my words.
The movie was filmed in Pittsville and I remember it well. They used Ayres Church for the church service in the movie.
What year?

Agreed 1:16. And the price just keeps going up. And the quality keeps going down.
