DON'T DO THIS AT HOME!

While one of the Downtown buildings basement has flooded, someone thought they'd come in there and hook up a pump to remove the water. HOWEVER, there's a problem with this move.

As you can see, the water is pumped out of the basement and is running right down the wall, filling the basement right back up again. Dee, Dee, Deeee!
Being a good neighbor, (since no one was around) I redirected the hose and the problem went away immediately.

The basement seems to flood with the incoming tide. Look at the bottom of the door to see how rusted out it is.

This is true and this is the excuse that the attorney owner gave the city for maintaining a flooded basement. Flooded basements are a electrical hazard, Mold Hazard and the potential for a building collapse is imminent. Complaints have been filed with NSCC numerous times and they just shrug it off because they are ignorant of the Codes.
