Without Receipts, Some Are Losing Money When They Return Recalled Similac

Jeff says since his local grocery stores put Similac on sale, his daughter hasn't been able to get the full price back for the recalled Similac she returned because she doesn't have her receipts. Without proof that she bought it before it went on sale, they will only refund her the sale price. "Who saves grocery receipts?" he writes. "My daughter was out $40 with everything she returned and repurchased a different product."

She should contact the company as the recall stated. They will send postage-paid labels for you to send it back to the company.

I save ALL receipts, including grocery receipts.
I don't know of any stores nowadays that will take back anything without a receipt.
I believe sometimes people have to take responsibility for themselves.

Looks like the stores are trying to profit from this recall. They put the item on sale knowing many people don't keep receipts from the grocery store that long

i've never been to a store that would allow you to return something without a receipt and get the full price for it. no receipt = last sale price.

that being said, 9:16 said it perfectly, the company specifically stated in the recall press release to contact them directly.

@5:32 - you are lucky you got anything back at Babies-r-us... typically if you don't have a receipt they won't even let you exchange anything there! they are like return/exchange nazi's!
