I remember that meeting , as usual smith was acting stupid. I think it is her lack of knowledge and the power has gone to her head. She has never been a leader and will never be a leader.
You did good by maintainig your composure.

The old saying applies to her " the truth hurts"

Public comment have been and will always be their opinion!

when was this meeting. I ask because of the comment made about the Chief of Police. I would agree as to Webster.

i see fault on both sides. you are a troublemaker and she didnt want that to start again. she on the other hand, like a judge in court, can ask you to move on with your comments. however, she didnt show much restraint, as usual.

The sooner Louise Smith no longer holds the position and power she currently does, the better off Salisbury is going to be.

Mrs. Smith, you might well be directed to expand your incredibly closed mind to the wisdom of people like Albert Camus. Never heard of him? He was an author, philosopher, and Nobel prize winning journalist. He gave us all (and especially those who think and operate like you do) the following food for thought: "If all mankind, minus one were of one opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind."

The legacy you will leave behind when you at long last vacate the chair you now hold is too sad to even contemplate. In the humble opinion of THIS one man, you're a disgrace to the people and the region you "represent".

I'm glad to put my name to this post, Mrs. Smith. Although I may well be lambasted by other readers for what I've said here, I at least respect their right to do the lambasting. WOW! Imagine such!! Allowing others who disagree with you to have their say.

What a novel concept, huh?

If you owned property in Princess Anne but did not live in the town you would not be allowed to speak at town meetings so I am surprised Salisbury council let you speak. If you do not live in the town, you cannot vote. Being a taxpayer does not make you eligible to vote. It is frustrating but that is the rule.

I have to agree with Ms. Smith. You should not make personal attacks during pubic meetings. It serves no purpose. You chose to place blame and harp on that rather than work toward a solution.

Your harrassment of the former mayor was beyond belief. You thought Ireton was the perfect replacement and would do such a fine job of getting Salisbury back on track. What happened?

3:06 and boom goes the dynamite - very well said! I will begrudgingly admit that Albero does some good, but if he handled business in a less antagonistic way more people would be inclined to get behind his causes. His backing of Ireton is a perfect of example of the "all sizzle, no steak" that exemplifies all that he does. He picks a flavor of the month (week, day) and either supports it and criticizes those who don't, or he berates it and anyone who may have a view that differs (is more intelligent) than his. Then he moves on to the next cause, having never made a difference or completed anything.

Dear 3:06
If a frog had wings!! What would happen!!

3:06, but Louise Smith is perfectly content to allow people to attack the current mayor, Debbie Campbell or Terry Cohen personally. She'll send little old ladies who speak truth about Queen Smith, but Smith will let slumlords who don't live in the city go on and on about the people she doesn't like, but gavel Joe Albero, another she also doesn't like.

Heck, she let that Leer guy go on and on about a private citizen by name!

I'd like to tell her where to put that gavel!

Good Job Mr. Albero!
