Ehrlich Accepts Endorsement from Mayor Rudy Giuliani

ANNAPOLIS – Bob Ehrlich today accepted former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s endorsement for Governor of Maryland. Statements from Mayor Giuliani and Governor Ehrlich are below.

“There is only one candidate running for Governor of Maryland who is capable of restoring Maryland’s economy and that is Bob Ehrlich. During Bob’s first term, he helped create 100,000 private sector jobs and defeated or vetoed $7.5 billion in new taxes. His plan for the next four years – creating jobs, lowering the tax burden of families and entrepreneurs, and reining in government spending – is exactly what Maryland needs,” said Mayor Giuliani.

“It is a great honor to have Mayor Giuliani’s trust and endorsement,” said Ehrlich.  “He is a living testament to how a competent and committed Mayor can lead a city to new heights.  He and I share an unwavering belief in the entrepreneur as the catalyst for creating jobs and economic security for families. Most of all, I am proud to call Mayor Giuliani a friend.”
