State Police At Scene Of Apparent Suicide

Location: Southbound I-95 at the Brandywine River Bridge, Wilmington

Date of Occurrence: Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at approximately 5:15 p.m.

Resume: State Police detectives are currently at the scene of an apparent suicide that occurred this afternoon. Initial investigation has revealed that a female subject has jumped over the railing of the southbound side of I-95 at the Brandywine River Bridge in Wilmington. The subject landed on the ground below inside of the Brandywine Park.

The investigation is continuing. More information will be released.

That is so sad. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It is a shame the person did not get help.

While I agree that this is sad - we don't know that the "problem" was temporary.
I don't think it's right to put that sort of judgement on someone when we know nothing about their life.

I attended the funeral this thursday of the female victim who lost her life. To be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD.
PLEASE KEEP HER ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO LOVED HER DEARLY IN PRAYER.
