Homeowner Interrupts Burglary
Location: 100 block North Commerce Street, Kenton, Kent County, DE
Date of Occurrence: Saturday July 18, 2010 at 10:40 p.m.
Suspect:
Mark Bennett, 45, Kenton, DE
Resume:
Delaware State Police have charged a Kenton man with burglary and related offenses.
Troopers responded to the 100 block of North Commerce Street in Kenton Saturday evening after a homeowner interrupted a burglary to his home.
Bennett entered the residence through the front door sometime after 10:30 in the evening. Bennett did not realize the 40 year-old homeowner was home at the time. Bennett made his way upstairs and was leaving with some property when he was confronted by the homeowner. An altercation ensued between the two. Fortunately the homeowner was able to call police before he confronted the suspect.
Troopers arrived on the scene and assisted the homeowner with subduing the suspect. Bennett continued to fight with the troopers after they arrived. Bennett was taken to Kent General Hospital where he was treated for lacerations and contusions.
Troopers charged Bennett with Burglary 2nd, Theft, Resisting Arrest, Terroristic Threatening and Offensive Touching. No bail information was available at the time of this release.

Ew! Now that is scary. I would have to kill it and perform a facelift.
Looks like the homeowner attempted to teach this guy a lesson.
Also looks like he did a pretty good job!!!
