Fernando Guerrero won his second Championship Belt last Friday and returned home Saturday to a crowd of supporters, fans and press to welcome him home.
All smiles, (as usual) Fernando signed autographs, took pictures with fans and did interviews. He explained how he was a bit sore in the hip area from around 20 low blows. Other than that, he was just fine and happy to return.
His cell phone was ringing off the hook but he ignored it and spent time thanking everyone for coming out. Trainer/Manager Hal Chernoff looked far more worn out than Fernando did, that's for sure. Hal couldn't wait to get home and get some sleep. Its tough growing old, isn't it Hal!
Great job Team Guerrero and Congratulations once again. Fernando Guerrero is now 19-0.

With all the news relating to crime today its wonderful to see such a fine young man from this community doing so well. Not only is he a rising star in the boxing world he is an excellant role model for our youth. I have had the privelege of meeting this young man and he gives me hope for our youth in our community. He is a class act and he has been truly blessed by having the right people to guide and mentor him...May God Continue To Bless You Fernando....
