GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY, MAYOR STEPHANIE RAWLINGS-BLAKE TO ANNOUNCE EXTENDED RECREATION CENTER HOURS

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley will join Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake to announce funding to extend the operating hours of ten Recreation Centers in areas of Baltimore with higher concentrations of at-risk youth for much of the summer, giving City kids a safe place to socialize and keeping them out of trouble. The funding, which will come through the Governor’s Office of Crime Control and Prevention, will keep 10 Recreation Centers open for four extra hours each night through mid-August.

Governor O’Malley and Mayor Rawlings-Blake will visit the Robert C. Marshal Recreation Center where they will join local youth, parents, and Recreation Center staff.
