GOVERNOR MARTIN O’MALLEY TO JOIN FEDERAL, LOCAL OFFICIALS FOR MAJOR ‘GREEN JOBS’ ANNOUNCEMENT

ANNAPOLIS, MD (January 25, 2010) – Governor Martin O’Malley will join Senator Barbara Mikulski, Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, County Executive Jim Smith, and others for a major announcement on the creation and retention of “green jobs” in Maryland. The announcement will take place at Allison Transmission, a General Motors manufacturing plant in White Marsh at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow.

This is just so much bull. Incumbent politicians are all jumping on the bandwagon of "job announcements". This is as big a joke as "saved jobs". Has anyone actually done anything to encourage business growth and hiring? Not at all. All we hear is tax, punish business, on and on...

From the Whitehouse, we hear "help the middle class" and that equates to an increase in the deduction for child care? People are out of work are using LESS child care.

I wouldn't get caught up in the Governor's and Senators 'hype'.

They all know they could literally get 'axed' from their current positions because of the sagging Maryland economy.

There are no significant jobs out there. The unemployment stats tells it all.
