Never Forget Where You Came From
Joe...
Saw the item Grace for Vets on your 7 Oct issue of the news....I contacted Brian at the Wash 'N Vac and told him I was one of three VA Drivers for the Crisfield, Pocomoke, Princess Anne, Salisbury to Cambridge run on Tuesday and Wednesday each week and asked if his free wash included our Van? Not only did it include our Van (he washed it twice today) he stated we could bring it by once a month to get it taken care of again...free of course... Now how about a little pay it forward.... Stop by, call, and let him know that was a very cool thing to do....and if u need to wash your vehicle...it is a great, clean place to pay it forward... Again many thanks to Brian and his crew....

What is the location of the car wash.
Northwood Drive behind Pep-Boys and Parsons Road (just off Pemberton, next to mini-storage facility). Free wash for Veterans Wednesday 9 A.M.-3 P.M. at both locations. Since it may be raining today, Veterans can stop by and we will give you a coupon to wash at a later date; or you can wash today if you choose.
Brian - WHat a stand up thing to do. I know that lots of vets depend on those vans for neccessary transportation for medical visits, etc. Thank you.
I use that place all the time, looks like I will continue to as well!
Mr. Dayton, thank you. What a great thing to do. We non-vets will remember, too!
What a stand up thing to do!! I am not a Vet, but i appreciate this compassion you show to the Veterans, Thank you & when the rain stops i will definitely be washing my car there!
The three drivers were among the 100 or so veterans who took part in a free breakfast held Nov. 11 and hosted by the Crisfield 1044 Elks. The van (based in Crisfield) drives to the Cambridge VA Clinic two days per week with stops along the way. It is in need of volunteer drivers, who will go through a background check, physical and orientation. Your commitment is really only part of a day, morning or afternoon. For more information, call VA Voluntary Services Specialist Dave Sevinsky at 1-800-605-7000 ext. 7102.
We featured it on our front page this week but can't post it on our parent company's Web site newszap.com because it's in "read only" mode through Saturday for maintenance. Thanks for this post and opportunity to add this additional info.
I was at the Elks in Crisfield this morning and meet the VA guys who drive the van...nice group of gentleman...one is from Salisbury who drives back and forth to Crisfield 70 miles round trip own time and money and is a vet..One is from Shelltown and he does the same only 40 miles for him and he is a Vet..and the third gentleman who is not a Vet just does it because....now that is commitment...god bless and good luck in the future....
