Happy 234th Birthday to my brothers and sisters who had the privilege and courage to wear the uniform and serve our beloved Corps. I’ll hoist my glass tonight to salute you and all those who served and continue to serve as the legacy and mission of the Marine Corps continues around the globe. This is your day, Marines. Celebrate with pride.
The following link takes you to the Marine Corps Gazette with a message from the Commandant. There is a video clip to the right of his message labeled, “2009 Video Message”. “A message from the Commandant and Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps”. I would urge you to view the video. It’s about 9 minutes long, but the message and story is very powerful. Please take a moment to watch. The Marine Corps Birthday is about all of us; those who served, continue to serve and families who have sons, daughters, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, relatives and friends in the Corps.
