While the majority of males stars enlisted in the military, during the war, John Wayne never did. He talked about it several times but was worried it would cut his career short so he never went through with it.
I am grateful today for all those who were willing to step up to the plate and fight to save our way of life from extinction. It's amazing that every generation has so many willing to do that for us.

(Thanks for the negativity.)

I just don't visualize how we are curently at risk (Iraq and Afghanistan).
Are we truly at risk?
How can wars prevent what happened on 911?
Wasn't 911 a crime? Why wasn't it ever investigated as a crime? No body has been convicted (even in absentia).
Are the current wars necessary?
Should the soldiers speak up?
I think Mr. John Wayne served his country very well through his acting career, and inspired patriotism in most citizens.
Yea, a lot of talk for someone who did not serve. Sorry to break your little feel good moment.
5:13 I agree!
