It's a Diane von Furstenberg dress, although I don't think the original was that great either, nor was it an appropriate dress print for the occasion.

10:37 - this is a solemn occasion and the military are there performing a duty in honor of a fallen brother. They are not there to smile and curtsy at the Obamas but to stand "guard" at the arrival point of dignitaries and family.
As for M. Obama not looking at them, she is walking in with the President, both are looking solemn in conjunction with the seriousness of this service. Don't forget, this a picture not a video - it only captures a fraction of a second of the procession.

It doesn't matter if it was tampered. She has worn some hideous outfits since the beginning of her husband's islamic reign in the U.S.A. She is terribly gigantic and has terrible features to be a woman. I agree with 10:57. But I also believe that most of our recent 1st ladies look sorta manly. None of those have been attractive either. Nancy probably was when she was younger, though.

With access to fashion consultants and 'free' designers dressess, one would expect the First Lady to be well dressed. Unfortunately, she has been seen in some of the most outlandish dresses ever...election night? What was that red, white and black costume Michelle wore?
She looked like a Weeble alongside her daughters dressed in the same colors. We all hope to be proud of our First Lady's wardrobe as it refects on our country.
So with this experience in mind (election night), it is certainly plausible that viewers thought that this photoshoped creation was real.
Mrs Obama should have all types of experts to assist with figure flaws so it is puzzling to see her on 'date' night in a black fringed dress that accentuates her hip area. Where are her advisors? Video showing her truding from Marine One in an elongated stride isn't graceful and feminine. Sadly, her oldest daughter has inherited the same gait. Obviously her advisors do not have her interests at heart.
