
Registry promotes sustainability and responsibility among Maryland businesses and organizations
ANNAPOLIS, MD (September 29, 2009) – Governor Martin O’Malley will launch the Maryland Green Registry, a voluntary self-certification program designed to promote and recognize greening efforts by organizations of all types and sizes in the State. The Governor will highlight the corporate responsibility and sustainability efforts of Registry members, particularly in the areas of recycling, water stewardship, and energy conservation.
Prior to the Governor’s announcement, he will tour the facility of the Baltimore Coca-Cola Bottling Company, a Maryland Green Registry member. The announcement is open press. The facility tour is closed press. For more information, visit: www.green.maryland.gov/registry
