Can you hear me now?

I'd like to do that in a doctor's office waiting room--in urine.

Believe it or not, but twice this has happened at Lombardi's to me and my husband with 3 kids-we have 4 now. My husband goes back with our 8 yr old, but I never will, ever.

I didn't go to that extreme in my response, but this has happened to me and my wife the past two visits I had at Lombardi's.

It was a childhood favorite restaurant of mine, but I haven't been back there since those two instances of bad service -- at least 2 years ago.

At least the food was good, once we finally got it; not that it matters now.

People do not wait this long. Come on now. We all have waited for service before but 30 minutes? Na, 15 minutes max. No 1 in the world would sit for 30 minutes, watching everyone get served or not saying anything. I dont believe it. I seen people flip out over 3 or 5 minutes and complain that they been there 15 minutes. Your rude now but you will be back. Your next order will have fumunda cheese and spit in it. For someone to do leave a message like this is clearly unstable and complains about everything and collect foodstamps

10:28 is right.

Anyone who sits without service for as much as 10 minutes is giving the waiter the benefit of the doubt... anyone waiting past 10 min is a dummy!

Its real easy folks, you find the manager and tell them you've been waiting for X amount of time, and check their reaction. If they're apologtic and want to fix it, you stay and hope for some comped food.

If they're not helpful (yknow, looking at you like it's YOUR fault the waitress never ever stopped by your table) then you hightail it outta there and tell as many people as you can NEVER to return for horrible service/mgt. Easy as pie!

But remember, it's not always intentional... you'd be surprised how much miscommunication happens in restaurants among waiters."I thought that was your table! No, I thought that was your table! No, you take them; no, YOU!" kind of situations.

We complained to the manager at Harpoon Hanna's and he could not have cared less. Does Brew River and Harpoon Hanna's have the same ownership?

Sounds like somebody is out to get Harpoon Hanna's and Brew River? Ive always had good service and food at each... there is a reason they are always packed.

10:28am, you're right unless you have 3 kids with you and your husband says it hasn't been that long and so you start watching the clock, meanwhile the kids have been back and forth to the fish tank at Lombardi's or to the video games and after 15 min of watching the clock, I'm gone. We had no trouble getting a table and service at Pizza Hut across the street.

Jimmy's in Bridgeville, DE, after Jimmy sold it. Haven't been back, it's been three years and I have not missed anything, except slow to no service!!!

We ate at Harpoon Hannah's late this summer and we had a very bad experience!! Yes, these two places are owned by the same people and customer service and pride in their restaurants is surely not on the "menu". We will not return there or Brew River again. There is too much Sysco Food, service is not good at either place. Even the Bread Girl served us cold rolls and bread. Surely not like to old Pub, where everything was good, and well prepared! It seems with the economy like it is, diners should be treated with the utmost respect and courtesy and top knotch food!

I just had a great meal at Harpoon Hanna's in August. Always a must stop when our Family vacations at the beach! We love it!

I'm a good friend of the Hanna family. They eat sleep and breath the restaurant business. Kinda offends me when people say they don't care about the customer. I see how much time they invest in it. Introduce yourself sometime you'll be pleasantly surprised what nice people they are.

It's probably other restaurant bloggers on here just trying to bash the competition. Harpoon Hanna's has been a staple at the beach for over 25 years. They must be doing something right???

Haven't tried Harpoon Hannah's but always drive by and they are packed!

My family once had a bad experience at Brew River but went back not too long ago to give them another try and it was actually really good!

blu river, will never eat there again, tired of watching the cockroaches climbing the walls next to me! didn't seem to bother management to much! guess they were used to them!

Wake up call!!! Sysco supplies everybody around here one thing or another.

I deliver for Linens of the Week. The kitchen is spotless at Brew River. Now I could tell you some places to not eat but I won't go there! Just stay away from up and down route 13.

The Pub, Harpoon Hanna's and Brew River are all the same owners The Hanna Family! Who just donated 2 million dollars to build the new outpatient center at PRMC. Believe me they care!

I think this website makes Frank Hannah out to be a badd person. I was at the dock bar once and he shook my hand and bought me a drink. He did not have to do that but I think he cares about his customers. Everybody is just too busy hating him because he is successful!

This is very good idea, I think I'll do this. It serves them right.

Heck, if I have bad service, EVERY one will have bad serivce! I will twist the tops of the salt and pepper shakers just enough where they stay on but will fall off when someone turns it sideways. Yeah! Let me go to the bathroom and find no paper towels. Its on like donkey kong! That bathroom will look like a war zone. Speaking of war zones, and I have seen some nasty bathrooms in my days. Wawa, south on 13 has the most nastiest bathrooms I have ever seen. Some people smear poo on the walls, urinate on the floor and poo on the seat.

Exactly what are you trying to prove by acting like a complete jerk to ruin everyone else's experience??? People like you don't deserve to be served by anyone. Do everyone else a favor and stay home.

I have gotten more than one free meal for having to wait 30 minutes.

If you plead your case and don't act like a bunch of rednecks (like 10:28), it may actually work to your favor.

Stop taking it personal if service is slow. Nobody wants customers to walk away especially the buisness.

And, if I ever caught a customer trashing my bathroom(10:28)he would not be walking out of there as easy as he walked in.

2:20 PM...every time I see a comment like this .."Sysco Food"...I know it comes from someone who has absolutely no knowledge of the restaurant business.

Sysco is a distributor...they do not manufacture ,process,or produce any food. Every restaurant in Salisbury utilizes a distributor in order to obtain foods and ingredients to prepare the dishes on their menu.

Get a clue.

Brew River is consistently a great place to eat. The only complaint I've ever had is that it's time to take the dirty carpet out and re-do the floors. The musty smoke smell is the worse. The Hanna's are great folks and every restaurant can have a bad day.

Anonymous said...

Yes I have. But I'm good enough of a person not do this to someone whom's job already sucks enough... People are so rude to food servers.

I would love to come to this persons work and douse them with condiments. Grow up and go to another restaurant. Idiots.
